Shit.
-----
On 9/25, Sosyne (anger/calm) attacked Verens. Elios (love/hate) tried to fight her off, but there was a hell of a lot of collateral damage. My first apartment was wrecked.
Something had Sosyne pissed. She said something like "I left the other ones alone because I didn't care, but it's too late for these ones," talking about humans.
When it ended, two more Arehtei showed up and put some kind of barrier around the island. They called it "interdiction". I'm going to guess it was Daimonia and Thras, because one mentioned joy and the other mentioned valor.
Besides all the buildings that took damage, three things have changed. First of all, the weird shit that happens around you in response to emotions - I've noticed that happening way less, for me and everyone else. Second, the tree is sick or something. Third, the big crystal hovering over the city looks like a crashed computer screen.
Shit.

King Bradley, through this post, not replied to. Military leader and king, iiiinteresting.
First half of September
I've gotta get out of here.We get back "the instant we left". As long as I'm not a freak case, I'll find Tokyo exactly how I left it.
For that matter, I don't want to leave until I've gotten everything this place has to give me. Demonoids don't exactly respect the old laws, so it's gonna take some creativity no matter what, but if I learn how things work around here, maybe I won't have to reinvent the entire wheel.
(While I'm at it, maybe take Akihiko up on his offer? In no world am I ever going to look like that, but right now, if someone decides to storm Ichigaya, I'm fucked. Being a little less fucked couldn't hurt.)
Vacation time. I missed normal humans and normal conversations so much, god damn.

Food. This could be huge. It's not quite as...good...as the shit from home, but if I can get a steady supply of it into Tokyo, that could take pressure off the neurishers. And if I control the source, that's a reason for the crazies in Shibuya and Ikebukuro to accept me as King.
Gotta be careful. The way it is now, neurishers are dinner and a show. They're "safe" because we need them. If it's not necessary to keep them alive and functioning anymore, would demonoids actually leave them alone, or would they just start playing rougher with their toys?
(Talked to a baker. Sounds like the regular food only does that because of how the world works, they're not using any special ingredients.
Open line of travel between this world and ours? Do the Prophets of the White take requests??
Probably too much to hope for.)
That tree is really weird and I need to see what happens with someone else's petals.
How do you eat a crystal without really fucking yourself up?
---
Had a look at this. Sounds like it's been a while since all that happened, but there's some interesting stuff inside. Seems we Intruders are a little special. I figured that'd be the case from past experience, but it's nice to have proof.
Need to find more information on the Arehtei, but from the sound of it, so does everyone else. It's the longest shot I've ever taken, but if there's a chance they could turn up something helpful for the Tokyo situation, I'll take it. I keep coming back to how I'm gonna get demonoids to listen to me without needing to (or being able to) smash their faces in, if things go wrong. If my crystal takes drops from me, then demonoids "count" to this world's whole emotion thingy. Maybe there's a way to suppress their violent instincts, at least just enough to let the neurishers bounce back.
I'm probably reaching. Gotta lay low and learn what I can. Not that that'll be hard, the people here would give you the shirt off their back if you pouted at them.
Sosyne and Piphron.

To Do:
- Keep poking around. Figure out who's in charge, who'll help, who to avoid.
- ----- Check out the Enforcers.
- Scope out places that are useful. Resources, refuges...
- ----- Take chances to see what's outside the city.
- Money opens doors...just like it used to be. Save up for a rainy day or for when a favor is needed.
- Look into more options to replace neurotransmitters.

---Inoman's pretty much how the library described it. I think I'm wasting my time paying too much attention to it.
September, pre-Sosyne's Attack
Supposedly it appeared during an "Emotion Shift" a while ago, which is kind of like the scales tipping in a big way in that big crystal up there, I guess.
On 9/22, eight pods dropped to the ground. The petals were already known to catch and display memories from people who got close to them, but the pods seemed to contain memories from the Arehtei, captured a long time ago, maybe even before the surface of this world got messed up. A guy near the Piphron pod said he'd heard from that one pretty recently and he wasn't out for blood, so it's safe to say a lot's changed.
Sanae mentioned a theme of "hope" and I'm not sure that I buy that there's a "message" here, they all just look like memories of intense moments. The negative ones were, I think, Sosyne (agitation/calm), Piphron (trust/suspicion), and Aiada(want/like), and the positives were Daimonia(happy/sad), Elios(love/hate), and Peromei(hope/despair). Thras(fear/bravery) could go either way, personally it freaked me out.
What I want to know is why those memories were there. If my goal is to get one of these trees in Tokyo, I need to figure out where it comes from and how it works and whether it's going to explode and kill everyone if something nasty happens.
- Find Arehtei and ask about the tree. Elios seems like a cool enough customer to not mind questions.
